Henry is a professional chef and has worked in kitchens since 2005, working as Head chef of Moro and Morito Exmouth Market. He was Head chef at Poco in Broadway Market and also worked at Hibiscus for Claude Bosi and Bathers Pavillion in Sydney. He has just finished working for Belazu for five years as their innovation chef.

Laura comes from a different professional background, working as a Set Decorator in Film and Television since 2005. After having an injury she decided to take a change in career, and pursue her passion for food.

NMC started because having seen many people we love struggle with mental health, we found that there was limited help available through the normal channels. We believe that the act of cooking can provide a sense of accomplishment and focus that can positively impact your sense of self-esteem. Our classes aim to provide a comfortable and informal space where people can practice mindfulness as well as learn a new life skill.

We started hosting virtual cookery classes for individuals and groups during the pandemic and still do to this day. We work with three charities Mindfood, Tu Vida and Southall Black Sisters. Three times a month we run free cookery classes for these organisations and we create menus specifically tailored to the charities requirements. Visit our charity work page for more info.

We started working as private chefs in America and UK in 2011 and this has continued, as well as this we also have worked in Italy and Spain. We love planning menus and cooking for others, we are very adaptable, we dont want you to worry about a thing apart from having a good time and we hope to bring a little joy along the way. We have now both given up our day jobs to work full-time as private chefs. A percentage of our profits will always go to our chosen charities.

We will also continue to work with our charities, run our cookery classes and our supper clubs.
